HOSTEL BRATISLAVA ACCOMMODATION RULES

A client who rents a room simultaneously agrees to comply with the following accommodation rules of Hostel Bratislava.

  1. The hostel can accommodate only a client who has properly registered or has booked and received confirmation of services from the hostel. For this purpose, the client will fill out a registration form and present a valid identity document to the hostel staff. The hostel will immediately provide the client with a room key and an access code, which secures entry to the hostel.

  2. The hostel provides services to the client in the scope and quality determined by Decree No. 419/2001 Coll. of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, regulating the classification of accommodation facilities and classification characteristics for their categorization.

  3. Upon repeated arrival of an already accommodated guest, the client is obliged to present an identity document upon request.

  4. In exceptional cases, the hostel may offer the client alternative accommodation, provided it does not substantially differ from the confirmed booking.

  5. Based on a reserved accommodation, the hostel is obliged to accommodate the client between 14:00 and no later than 21:00.

  6. The client uses the room during the period agreed upon with the hostel.

  7. If the departure time has not been agreed upon in advance, the client must check out no later than 10:00 the following day and vacate the room. If the client fails to do so, the hostel may charge for an additional day.

  8. If the client requests an extension of their stay, the hostel may offer another room, different from the original one, if available.

  9. If the client requests accommodation before 14:00, they must pay for the entire previous night unless otherwise agreed in advance.

  10. In the event of cancellation of booked and confirmed services, the hostel applies cancellation policies and fees according to the following rules:
    a) Cancellation 5 days (inclusive) before arrival incurs a 50% fee of the booked service price.

  11. Upon occupying the room, the client should check the condition and functionality of the room facilities and immediately report any detected issues to the hostel staff.

  12. The client agrees that during the entire period of accommodation, the hostel's cleaning staff, maintenance personnel, manager, or director may enter the room to perform their official duties.

  13. The client may not make any changes, repairs, or interventions to the room equipment, electrical network, or other installations without the consent of the responsible staff.

  14. Personal electrical appliances are not allowed in the hostel or rooms, except for portable electrical appliances used for the client's personal hygiene.

  15. Smoking is prohibited throughout the hostel.

  16. The hostel is not responsible for personal belongings brought into the hostel by the client.

  17. The hostel is not responsible for disputes or conflicts between guests, but within legal limits, it will take necessary measures to maintain order and quiet in the accommodation and other areas.

  18. Receiving visitors in hostel rooms is allowed only with the permission of the responsible staff.

  19. The client must not make loud noises in the room or other hostel areas that disturb other guests. Nighttime quiet hours must be observed from 22:00 to 06:00.

  20. For safety reasons, children under 12 years old are not allowed in the hostel without adult supervision. The accompanying adult is fully responsible for the child.

  21. Dogs and other animals are not allowed in the hostel.

  22. The client is responsible for all damages caused to the hostel property in accordance with applicable Slovak laws.

  23. Complaints and claims by clients are handled according to the hostel's complaints procedure, which is available in the entrance hall. The accommodation rules are also available to clients in the rooms.

Cancellation Policy 

If you find that you need to cancel your reservation, we recommend doing so as soon as possible. Free cancellation is possible up to 5 days before the arrival date.

If you cancel your stay less than 5 days before arrival, a cancellation fee of 100% of the accommodation price will be charged. In case of no-show, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

You may also consider the option of rescheduling your stay to other dates free of charge.

Cancellation Policy
If you find that you need to cancel your reservation, we recommend doing so as soon as possible. Free cancellation is possible up to 5 days before the arrival date.

Local Tax / Fee

Upon arrival, a local accommodation tax of 3€ per person is payable in cash.

Exemptions:

  1. Persons with severe disabilities or persons with severe disabilities accompanied by a guide, upon presentation of a valid decision or disability card.

  2. Persons under 18 years of age or over 70 years of age, upon presentation of a valid ID.

  3. Students up to 26 years of age enrolled in full-time studies preparing for a future profession, upon presentation of a valid student ID.


Check-in / Check-out
Based on a confirmed reservation, you may check into your room between 14:00 and no later than 21:00.

On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 10:00. Staying beyond this time may result in an additional night being charged.

If you require early check-in before 14:00, please indicate this request in the reservation notes, this servis is extra fee.
