Accommodation Terms
Hostel Bratislava
These Accommodation Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") govern the rights and obligations between Rent & Invest Co. s. r. o., as the operator of Hostel Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator"), and any individual using accommodation services (hereinafter referred to as the "Guest").
By making a Reservation, completing the Online Check-in process, paying the Accommodation Fee, receiving Access Credentials, or entering the Accommodation Facility, the Guest confirms that they have duly familiarized themselves with these Terms, understand their contents, and agree to comply with them throughout the entire duration of their stay.
Article I
Operator and Accommodation Facility
The operator of the Accommodation Facility is:

Accommodation is provided as temporary short-term lodging in a facility designated for this purpose in accordance with the applicable laws of the Slovak Republic.
Article II
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions shall apply:
Operator – Rent & Invest Co. s. r. o., providing accommodation services in the Accommodation Facility.
Accommodation Facility – Hostel Bratislava, including all rooms, Common Areas, technical equipment, furnishings, and accessories.
Guest – a natural person using or entitled to use accommodation services provided by the Operator.
Reservation – a booking of accommodation services made through the Operator's reservation system, a booking platform, or any other agreed method.
Online Check-in – the electronic registration process completed by the Guest before the commencement of the stay, including the provision of identification details and identity verification.
Access Credentials – access codes, electronic keys, passwords, or other credentials enabling entry into the Accommodation Facility.
Common Areas – areas intended for shared use by Guests, including in particular the kitchen, bathrooms, toilets, hallways, entrance areas, and other areas accessible to Guests.
Accommodation Fee – the fee charged for accommodation services, including agreed charges, unless stated otherwise.
Tourist Tax – the accommodation tax collected pursuant to applicable laws and regulations of the City of Bratislava.
Damage – any financial loss, destruction, deterioration, loss, or impairment of property belonging to the Operator or a third party.
Material Breach of the Terms – any act or omission by a Guest that substantially violates these Terms, applicable laws, or the legitimate interests of the Operator or other Guests.
Force Majeure – any extraordinary, unforeseeable, and unavoidable event beyond the Operator's control that prevents or significantly restricts the provision of accommodation services.
Article III
Establishment of Accommodation and Guest Registration
Accommodation is established upon confirmation of the Reservation by the Operator or the relevant booking platform and fulfillment of the requirements necessary for accommodation.
Hostel Bratislava operates without a permanent reception desk and uses a self check-in system.
The Guest is required to complete the Online Check-in before arrival and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
The Operator is entitled to request the presentation of an identity document and verify the Guest's identity to the extent required by the laws of the Slovak Republic.
The Operator may refuse accommodation to any person who:
a) refuses to complete registration or Online Check-in;
b) refuses to verify their identity;
c) provides false or incomplete information;
d) violates legal regulations or public decency;
e) endangers the safety of persons or property through their conduct.
Access Credentials shall only be provided after all registration and payment obligations have been fulfilled.
Article IV
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is available on the day of arrival from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The Guest is required to complete Check-out no later than 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
Upon departure, the Guest shall:
a) vacate the assigned room;
b) remove all personal belongings;
c) leave the room in a condition consistent with normal use.
Late Check-out is only possible with the prior written or electronic consent of the Operator.
If the Guest continues to occupy the room after the official Check-out time without authorization, the Operator shall be entitled to charge the Accommodation Fee for an additional night according to the current price list. This shall not affect the Operator's right to claim compensation for Damage or any other costs incurred.
Article V
Accommodation Fee, Payments and Tourist Tax
The Guest shall pay the Accommodation Fee and all related charges properly and on time.
The Guest shall pay the Tourist Tax unless exempt under applicable legislation.
The current Tourist Tax rate is:
EUR 3.00 per person per night.
The Tourist Tax is generally payable upon arrival or by another method specified by the Operator.
Article VI
Rights and Obligations of the Guest
The Guest is entitled to use the assigned room and the Common Areas to the extent necessary for the proper use of accommodation services.
The Guest shall:
a) use the premises properly and with due care;
b) maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene;
c) comply with the Operator's instructions;
d) immediately report any Damage, malfunction, or emergency;
e) refrain from conduct that may disturb other Guests.
Without the prior consent of the Operator, it is prohibited to:
a) move furniture;
b) alter the layout of the room;
c) interfere with electrical installations;
d) manipulate locks or Access Credentials;
e) interfere with technical or security equipment.
Article VII
Common Areas
The Common Areas are intended for shared use by all Guests.
The Guest shall use the Common Areas in a manner that does not restrict or inconvenience other Guests.
After using the kitchen, the Guest shall wash dishes, clean work surfaces, and dispose of waste generated by their activities.
Food and belongings left in the Common Areas after the end of the stay may be removed or disposed of.
Article VIII
Quiet Hours
Quiet Hours apply daily from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
During Quiet Hours, the following activities are prohibited:
a) playing loud music;
b) loud conversations or shouting;
c) organizing parties or social events;
d) loud telephone calls;
e) any conduct disturbing other Guests.
Article IX
Safety, Smoking Ban and Illegal Substances
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the Accommodation Facility.
The prohibition also applies to:
a) electronic cigarettes;
b) vaping devices;
c) heated tobacco products;
d) similar nicotine products.
The following are prohibited within the Accommodation Facility:
a) possession or use of illegal narcotic or psychotropic substances;
b) aggressive or violent behavior;
c) use of open flames;
d) use of personal heating devices or gas-powered equipment.
Article X
Access to the Accommodation Facility and Visitors
Access to the Accommodation Facility is permitted exclusively to duly accommodated Guests.
Guests shall not provide Access Credentials to third parties.
Visitors who are not accommodated Guests are permitted only with the prior consent of the Operator.
The Guest shall be responsible for the conduct of any person whom they allow to enter the Accommodation Facility.
Article XI
Parking
Parking is provided free of charge, subject to availability.
A parking space must be reserved in advance.
The Operator shall not be liable for damage to vehicles, theft of vehicles, or loss or damage to items left inside vehicles, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Article XII
Wi-Fi and Internet Access
Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge.
The Guest shall use the internet connection in compliance with the laws of the Slovak Republic.
In particular, it is prohibited to use the internet connection for unlawful activities, infringement of third-party rights, or the dissemination of harmful content.
Article XIII
Liability for Damage
The Guest shall be liable for Damage caused to the Operator, other Guests, or third parties.
The Operator shall be entitled to claim compensation for Damage, including but not limited to:
a) damage to equipment;
b) destruction of property;
c) excessive contamination of premises;
d) loss or damage of inventory;
e) unauthorized interference with technical systems;
f) preventing the further use of a room.
Compensation for Damage shall be claimed in the actual and demonstrable amount incurred.
Article XIV
Guest Property
The Guest shall take care of their personal belongings and valuables.
The Operator shall be liable for brought-in or deposited property only to the extent required by the applicable laws of the Slovak Republic.
Items left behind after departure shall be stored for a reasonable period.
Food, waste, unsanitary items, or items without apparent value may be disposed of by the Operator without compensation.
Article XV
Early Termination of Stay
The Operator shall be entitled to immediately terminate accommodation before the agreed departure date in the event of a Material Breach of the Terms.
A Material Breach of the Terms includes in particular:
a) refusal of registration or identity verification;
b) provision of false information;
c) violation of Quiet Hours;
d) damage to property;
e) smoking within the Accommodation Facility;
f) granting access to unauthorized persons;
g) aggressive or violent conduct;
h) possession or use of illegal substances;
i) endangering the safety of persons or property.
In the event of early termination due to a Material Breach of the Terms, the Guest shall not be entitled to a refund of the Accommodation Fee or any unused portion thereof unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
Article XVI
Personal Data Protection
Guests' personal data are processed only to the extent necessary for:
a) providing accommodation services;
b) maintaining records of accommodated persons;
c) fulfilling the Operator's legal obligations;
d) accounting and tax purposes;
e) protecting the Operator's rights and legitimate interests.
Personal data processing is governed by applicable legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.
Article XVII
Final Provisions
These Terms are binding upon all Guests throughout the duration of their stay.
Legal relationships not expressly governed by these Terms shall be subject in particular to the Civil Code (Act No. 40/1964 Coll.), the Commercial Code (Act No. 513/1991 Coll.) to the extent applicable, Act No. 582/2004 Coll. on Local Taxes, and other generally binding legal regulations of the Slovak Republic.
The Operator reserves the right to amend or supplement these Terms unilaterally.

These Terms shall enter into force on the date of publication.
